operations. This role ensures timely availability of
materials, manpower, equipment, and other resources
, monitors subcontractor work orders and billing, highlights risks and delays early, and delivers clear planning reports to management.
The Planning Manager will be
based out of the Hyderabad office
and will
visit project sites as required
.
Reporting & coordination
Reports to:
Management / Leadership Team
Coordinates with:
Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Factory/Fabrication, Design/Engineering, QA/QC, Stores, Accounts/Finance, and Subcontractors
Key responsibilities1) Project planning & scheduling
Develop and maintain
project schedules
(baseline + rolling updates) for procurement, fabrication, dispatch, and installation.
Create
look-ahead plans
(weekly/bi-weekly/monthly) aligned with site priorities and factory capacity.
Track planned vs actual progress and continuously update schedules based on site realities.
2) Resource planning & readiness (materials / manpower / equipment)
(access equipment, lifting gear, handling trolleys, power tools, safety gear, testing tools)
Coordinate with Procurement/Stores and Factory to prevent shortages, idle time, and out-of-sequence execution.

3) Work order & subcontractor coordination
Support issuance and tracking of
work orders
to subcontractors.
Ensure subcontractor scope, quantities, rates, and timelines are aligned with project plan.
Monitor subcontractor progress and productivity; raise early flags when targets slip.
4) Subcontractor billing verification & payment follow-up
Coordinate measurement and verification of
subcontractor bills/RA bills
with site/project teams.
Verify bills for correctness vs work orders, measurements, and agreed rates.
Ensure
timely submission
of bills to Accounts and
follow through
for timely payments to subcontractors (to avoid work stoppages).
5) Delay identification, issue escalation & dependency tracking
Proactively highlight delays and constraints such as:
Design/spec changes
, revised drawings, pending clarifications
Pending approvals
(client/consultant approvals, mockups, material submittals)
Long-lead procurement delays, glass processing delays, fabrication bottlenecks
Site readiness constraints (handover, access, scaffolding/MEWP, interfaces)
Maintain an
issue/risk register
with owners, action dates, and escalation notes.
Drive closure of dependencies by coordinating across departments.
6) Planning documentation & reporting
Prepare and circulate planning documentation including:
Master schedule, micro schedules, two-week look-ahead
Material procurement and delivery trackers
Fabrication and dispatch trackers
Progress dashboards and exception reports
Present concise weekly updates to management with:
Progress summary, upcoming targets, constraints, critical actions required.
7) Site visits & coordination
Visit sites as required to validate progress, understand constraints, and align schedules with real conditions.
Participate in internal/site review meetings and ensure action items are tracked to closure.

Where the project stands
What's slipping and why
What decisions/actions are needed
Subcontractors are supported with timely work orders, verified bills, and payments--reducing disputes and downtime.
Reliable trackers and documentation that teams actually use.
Required skills & qualities
Strong coordination skills: ability to align multiple teams (site, factory, office).
Solid understanding of construction/fabrication workflows (preferably unitized curtain walls / cladding / fins / doors and windows / sleek glazing ).
Good command of planning tools and reporting:
MS Excel
(must),
Ability to read/interpret drawings and track revisions/approvals (coordination-level depth).
Strong follow-up discipline, problem-solving mindset, and comfort with escalation when needed.
Good communication (email, call, meeting updates) and stakeholder management.
Experience & education (you can adjust).
5-10 years
in planning/co-ordination roles in contracting/fabrication/construction (facade experience preferred).
Hyderabad-based; willing to travel to sites within city as needed.
