Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator with strong hands-on experience in metal fabrication and layout. The Fabricator will be responsible for measuring, cutting, fitting, tacking, and welding metal components to form structures and assemblies. This role requires accuracy, technical understanding, blueprint interpretation, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand dimensions and assembly requirements. Measure, lay out, mark, and cut materials such as MS sheets, SS sheets, channels, plates, and structural components. Fit, align, and tack-weld components into position before final welding. Perform MIG / TIG / Arc welding as required to complete fabrications to quality standards. Use hand tools, grinders, drills, cutters, and fabrication machines such as shearing, bending, and drilling machines. Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, alignment, strength, and finishing quality. Coordinate closely with Fitters, Welders, and Helpers during project execution. Maintain cleanliness, safety practices, and proper handling of workshop equipment.

Skills:

Ability to use a variety of tools & workshop equipment (grinders, cutters, power tools, bending/shear machines). Basic math skills and strong mechanical aptitude to calculate dimensions and alignments. Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings, with familiarity in welding symbols and technical tolerances. Knowledge of industry safety practices, PPE usage, and safe handling of heavy/material equipment. Strong understanding of metal properties, cutting parameters, and heat control in welding. Good finishing skills with neat and accurate weld aesthetics.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in fabrication and structural/mechanical assembly. Certification in Welding / Fabrication (ITI / Diploma) preferred. Experience handling Stainless Steel and Mild Steel structures. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete tasks within timelines.
