Job Description

A fabricator works with raw materials to create finished components and products by cutting, shaping, and assembling parts according to blueprints and specifications. This role involves using hand and power tools, machinery, and welding to join materials like metal, plastic, or wood. Key duties include reading technical drawings, performing quality checks, and maintaining equipment in industries such as manufacturing and construction. Key responsibilities

Interpret plans:

Read and understand blueprints, sketches, and other technical documents to determine project requirements.

Shape and cut materials:

Use tools like saws, grinders, and shears to cut and shape materials such as metal, plastic, or wood to exact specifications.

Assemble components:

Join fabricated parts together using methods like welding, soldering, or bolting.

Conduct quality control:

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and are free from defects.

Maintain tools and equipment:

Clean, maintain, and perform minor repairs on the machinery and tools used in the fabrication process.

Collaborate with teams:

Work with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and meet all requirements.

Adhere to safety protocols:

Follow all safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury from hazards like flying debris.
