About the Company:

• Our Client is an International Recruitment Agency specialized in job placement all over Canada and foreign workers recruitment.

NOTE: Only apply if you are willing to relocate to work in Canada.
Responsibilities:

• Interpret welding process specifications

• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment

• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment

• Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines

• Fit and weld intermediate small parts

• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal

• Operate oxygen arc-cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)

• Weld through different welding techniques and positions such as GMAW, FCAW, MCAW / 1F-4F & 1G-2G

• Weld steel parts and aluminum chassis for trailers and farm equipment

• Operate basic hand & air tools (die grinder, angle grinder, drill, etc.)

• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products

• Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal

• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment

Requirements

• Education: Completion of high school is required. Trade courses are an asset

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in welding is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate OR Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program is required.

• Training will be provided - in-hour or out-of-house training, hands-on training.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge are required. (properly start and shut the machine, working with the tools safely, not scared of using new tools)

• Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, standing for extended periods, working under pressure, tight deadlines, a combination of sitting, standing, walking, working at heights

• Personal suitability: Organized, effective interpersonal skills, team player, excellent oral communication, initiative, accuracy, and judgment.

Benefits

• Salary: $28.00 hourly, 40 - 45 hours per week.

• Important information: Flexibility on schedule is required. The candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Overtime (extended hours) may be required based on the business needs.
