Daily work allocation to operators as per plan / need, based on available skill and resources. Monitoring and chess-up of job progressing with ensuring the records and checks. Resource arrangements like tools, consumables etc. to maintain smooth work in shift and for up-coming jobs. Trouble shooting for fabrication activities like cutting, bending, fit-up, welding, pre-heat/post heat/PWHT, painting to meet drawing, QAP / plan requirements. Maintenance of harmonious work environment with unionized workmen with maintaining discipline and state of art manufacturing shop decorum. Daily and critical reporting of job progress and events to IS and seniors with problem-solving decision-making approach.

Understanding of

Welding symbols and weld groove design.


Weld distortion and control. Weld visual


Engineering drawing reading and interpretation.


Welding techniques like GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW.


Material from drawing and related consumable from process.


Welding / welder qualification process.


Safety in welding.


Fit-up and sequential welding techniques.


Pre-heat, post heat and PWHT.


Effects of welding parameters on weld quality.


Difference in C.S., S.S. and A.S. welding.


User level capability to use M.S. office, auto-cad, SAP.
