Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the fabrication workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the fabrication team, including fitters, welders, and other technicians.
Ensure all fabrication work meets quality standards and project specifications.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to interpret technical drawings and plan fabrication processes.
Manage inventory of materials and tools, ensuring availability for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
Monitor and report on production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fabrication supervisory role, preferably within the cold chain or refrigeration industry.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to fabrication and workshop environments.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment.
