Plant Head
to take complete operational and P&L ownership of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader capable of driving operational excellence, efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & P&L Management
Full accountability for plant operations and financial performance
, including budget management, cost control, capital expenditure planning, and ensuring profitability (P&L responsibility).
Develop and implement long-term manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall business goals, focusing on capacity expansion, technology upgrades, and process optimization.
Drive initiatives for
continuous improvement
across all aspects of the plant using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S.
Production & Operational Excellence
Oversee all manufacturing processes, including steel fabrication, welding, assembly, quality control, maintenance, and logistics for complex electro-mechanical parking systems.
Ensure production schedules are met efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards (Zero Defect target).
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), cycle time, scrap reduction, and inventory accuracy.
Manage the supply chain, coordinating closely with procurement and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality raw materials and components.
Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE)
Champion a
best-in-class safety culture
across the plant, ensuring strict compliance with all local, state, and national QHSE regulations.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
Ensure that all manufactured products adhere strictly to technical specifications, engineering drawings, and quality control procedures established for parking systems.
Team Management & Development
Lead, mentor, and motivate a large, multi-disciplinary team encompassing production, engineering, maintenance, and quality departments.
Foster a collaborative, disciplined, and high-performance work environment.
Oversee workforce planning, including recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and employee relations.
Manage industrial relations and liaise with relevant government and regulatory bodies as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE-Mec.)
. A Master's degree or management qualification is a significant advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of
10+ years of progressive experience
in manufacturing/operations, with at least
5 years in a Head/General Manager role specially in STEEL FABRICATION INDUSTRY
taking full P&L and operational responsibility for a mid-to-large-sized plant. Experience implementation of ERP.
Industry Background:
Strong experience in the manufacturing of
Steel Fabrication Industry
heavy engineering.
Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques, welding, precision machining, Steel metal fabrication, painting processes, and electro-mechanical assembly. Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
Leadership & Management:
Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage large teams, drive change, and achieve demanding production targets.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to report clearly to top management and effectively manage employee and vendor relationships.
Location:
Must be willing to
relocate to or commute daily to the plant location
