To lead and manage the fabrication workshop, ensuring timely production, quality control, employee management, and continuous improvement through new product development and vendor sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshop Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the fabrication workshop ensuring smooth workflow and timely output.
Product Quality Control
- Implement and monitor quality standards, conduct regular inspections, and ensure zero-defect products are delivered.
Production Planning
- Plan and allocate daily/weekly production schedules in coordination with the Production Head and meet output targets.
Daily Production Entry
- Maintain accurate records of production, raw material usage, and output in system/Excel sheets.
Employee Handling & Training
- Supervise, train, and motivate fabrication workers, ensure discipline, and build a productive & safe work culture.
New Product Development Support
- Collaborate with design and development teams to create prototypes and support product innovation.
Vendor Development
- Identify and develop new vendors for raw materials, tools, and fabrication services to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
Maintenance & Safety
- Ensure machines and tools are well-maintained, implement safety protocols, and minimise downtime.
Reporting
- Share daily/weekly reports with management on production status, quality issues, employee performance, and vendor updates.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of
fabrication processes, machinery, and tools

Leadership skills for managing and training workshop staff.
Ability to analyse production data and prepare MIS reports.
Vendor negotiation and development skills.
Problem-solving mindset with focus on efficiency and cost reduction.
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma/Degree in
Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
(preferred).
3-5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing management.
Hands-on experience in
workshop supervision and product development
.
