Job Title: Fabrication In-Charge - Workshop Location: Dahej Department: Mechanical / Fabrication Experience: 5-10 years in structural fabrication (industrial projects) --- Job Summary The Fabrication In-Charge will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all workshop fabrication activities to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality production. The role includes manpower planning, monitoring daily fabrication output, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating with clients, QA/QC, logistics, and the project team for smooth operations. --- Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and manage daily fabrication activities to meet project requirements. Supervise fitters, welders, helpers, and workshop staff; allocate tasks and monitor productivity. Review fabrication drawings, material availability, and ensure proper job routing. Implement welding procedures (WPS), dimensional checks, and quality standards. Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, NDT, and compliance documentation. Track fabrication progress, maintain daily and weekly production reports. Ensure proper maintenance of tools, equipment, consumables, and workshop housekeeping. Follow and enforce safety standards, PPE usage, and safe work procedures. Liaise with the project/dispatch team for loading, painting schedule, and timely dispatch. Resolve technical issues, provide guidance to the team, and ensure minimal rework. Monitor material utilization to minimize wastage and control costs. --- Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Strong knowledge of structural fabrication, welding processes, and workshop operations. Ability to read and interpret fabrication/GA drawings. Leadership skills with experience in handling large teams. Good communication, planning, and reporting skills. Knowledge of safety practices and QC requirements. Experience in EPC/industry fabrication workshops .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
