Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Extranet Engineer

with a strong background in

network operations, administration, and external client connectivity

. The role involves managing and maintaining secure, high-availability connectivity solutions for clients through traditional and modern methods such as

leased lines, routers, VPNs, cross-connects

, and

cloud connectivity platforms

(e.g.,

Alkira, Equinix ECX, PacketFabric

).This position requires both deep technical expertise and strong communication skills to interface confidently with enterprise and financial clients.

Key Accountabilities

Maintain and support

external client connectivity

across traditional leased lines, routers, VPNs, x-connects, and cloud connectivity services (Alkira, Equinix ECX, PacketFabric). Work with

colocation facilities

and

third-party hosting providers

to manage connectivity and infrastructure. Ensure stable and secure network operations, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in collaboration with internal teams (Linux, Database, Cloud, etc.). Demonstrate a strong understanding of core networking protocols --

TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS

-- and best practices in network design and performance. Utilize

network monitoring tools

to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and security. Communicate technical issues and resolutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Produce and maintain

concise, accurate documentation

for network configurations, changes, and operational procedures. Interact confidently with

large financial organizations

, ensuring professionalism, security compliance, and reliability.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Minimum

8+ years

in network operations, administration, or related engineering roles.

Technical Expertise:

Network connectivity (leased lines, routers, VPNs, x-connects) Cloud connectivity services:

Alkira, Equinix ECX, PacketFabric

Core network protocols:

TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS

Network monitoring and troubleshooting

Flexibility:

Willingness to work
