Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Export Merchant to manage our international trade operations. The ideal candidate will handle overseas buyer communications, export documentation, logistics coordination, and payment follow-ups while ensuring compliance with customs and export regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the entire export sales process from inquiry to shipment and payment collection.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents for export dispatch.
Prepare and verify all export documentation including invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, and certificates of origin.
Negotiate prices, shipping terms, and delivery schedules with international clients.
Ensure timely clearance and shipment of goods in compliance with export policies.
Maintain strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and export-related authorities.
Monitor market trends and identify potential overseas business opportunities.
Prepare monthly export sales and shipment reports for management review.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, International Business, or related field.
Proven experience in export marketing, documentation, or international trade.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of INCOTERMS, LC documentation, and export logistics.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (Tally, SAP, or similar).
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Salary:
As per industry standards (negotiable based on experience).
