JOB ROLE:
As the Asst. /Sales - Manager Exports, he /she is responsible for generating and enhancing the sales of the Hem products range in existing/new countries. They must ensure that the products are made available in the international markets by analysing the trends of the customers and developing sales plans and strategies to meet their needs.
I. Manage Sales
To identify new business opportunities by tapping the potential customers/distributors from different countries.
To make sure that the existing customers/distributors are retained and maintained while developing the new customers.
To take initiative and efforts to develop constructive and effective solutions to any issues that slow down or hamper the export procedures and activities.
To constantly review distributor's performance and monitor their work, so that relevant information can be provided to the management.
Monitor market trends analyse and develop plans for growth, increase market share and increase profitability.
To plan, design, develop and implement different sales activities by researching the customer's/ distributors needs and requirements.
To ensure that the all the sales and marketing activities are carried out within the agreed budgets, volume, sales, and within the given time scales.
Develop and or maintain Merchant Exporters for new and existing products or orders.
Should be able to work in a target oriented work environment and should be able to prioritize work based on the given deadlines.
Should have passion and flexibility to travel long distances whenever required for bringing in Sales revenues.
II. Operations & Planning
Correspond with Distributors/customers on a timely basis on Orders and Payments. Check order sheets and pre-shipment documents.
Timely reply to the queries or enquiries of existing customers through email or phone.
Coordinate with supply chain operations - production, stock positions, logistics and documentation with Customs House Agents (CHA).
Carry out secondary market research, conduct surveys and study the competitors and their marketing and sales strategies. Based on this, propose new strategy that will help the organization to get ahead of the competition by prioritizing the target countries
With Distributors - coordinate India visits, arrange management meetings, tele-conferences, carry out proper negotiations etc. so you can assist in the overall growth and development of the business organization
Participate in the training sessions to improvise knowledge and skills. Attend relevant trade shows and exhibitions. Be aware of and track economies of the target markets
Liaison with the Country Consulates, Business / Commercial Attaches in Embassies to understand policy changes or increase market presence in the targeted countries.
Make suggestions to improve the product based on the feedback received from the customers.
Train and mentor the local sales representatives and create awareness about the products in the target countries by conducting advertising and marketing campaign

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Qualification: Graduate or Diploma with relevant experience or MBA - preferably in Exports Management or International Business or Foreign Trade or Bachelor of International Business and Finance (BIBF) or Bachelor of Business Studies (BBF).
Experience: Position of Asst. Manager: 7- 10 years / for Manager >10 years.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal communication skills to develop healthy, professional relationships with the clients and vendors demonstrated by exceptional leadership quality.
Excellent negotiation skills are a pre-requisite in determining the prices and discounts for different products.
Excellent time management and organization skills
Should be proficient in computers to maintain, update and analyse various kinds of reports
Working knowledge of relevant Foreign language will be an added advantage.
Be self-driven and bring up or take new initiatives.
Preferred:
Previous experience in an Exports department with consumer product company is a prerequisite. Preferably should have worked for developing or selling product in all geographical areas. Knowledge of handling export documentation and CHA's also required.
