How you will make an impact:

Veradigm is expanding its Cloud Data Engineering team and is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic

Azure/Cloud Data Engineer

to support and evolve our Data Engineering platforms. This role is critical to the success of our

VEHR (Veradigm Electronic Health Record)

initiatives and requires deep expertise in

SQL Server

,

ETL

, and

Azure cloud technologies

.

Lead and optimize data pipelines:

Design and refining high performance stored procedures

(SPROCs)

and ETL pipelines, workflows to ensure high performance and scalability across complex data models.

Architect Intelligent data models

: Analyze and manage

data model complexity

, including understanding the

current and historical states

of our data architecture.

Maintain a massive data ecosystem

: Oversee a

robust SQL Server Environment

managing over

3,000 databases

with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.

Own the data engineering logs: Triage, organize, and prioritize

incoming data engineering tasks and issues to ensure timely and effective resolution.

Collaborate across disciplines

--Work closely with Program Managers, Technical Leads, and Data Architects--to design and deliver robust cloud-based analytics and reporting solutions.

Build scalable analytics solutions:

Design and develop scalable solutions and data engineering frameworks for Data Engineering and Analytics that meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

Champion Knowledge Sharing

: Drive

initial training and documentation

efforts to ensure smooth onboarding and knowledge transfer across teams.

Support Compliance Critical Systems

: Ensure continuous delivery and support for

mission-critical compliance and reporting programs

.

Automate for efficiency

: Automate routine tasks using custom scripts and open-source tools to improve operational efficiency.

Contribute to Agile Development:

Participate in Agile/Scrum product development cycles, contributing to design, coding, testing, and deployment phases.

You are a great fit if you have:

8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with

proven success in large-scale data environments.

Proven record in

architecting transactional databases, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and BI solutions across both IaaS and PaaS environments.

Strong expertise in

Azure IaaS and PaaS,

with direct experience in architecting

transactional databases (TXNDB), data warehouses (DWH), ETL, and BI solutions.

Extensive expertise in SQL Server, with a

strong focus on designing and optimizing complex stored procedures (SPROCs) for performance, scalability, and maintainability in high-throughput environments.

Robust programming experience in C#,

complemented by proficiency in additional scripting languages, enabling the development of efficient, modular, and production-grade software solutions across diverse platforms. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to triage, prioritize, and manage complex tasks effectively.

Deep understanding of VEHR systems--prior experience is highly plus.

Qualifications:

A

bachelor's degree in computer science

, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.

Professional certifications

in cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure), data engineering, or related technologies are highly preferred and considered a strong asset.
