Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Embedded Radar AI/ML Engineer to help develop advanced perception systems critical for autonomous vehicles. In this role, you will implement state-of-the-art radar and AI/ML technologies on embedded platforms to create market-leading perception solutions that enable Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) features.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop AI-focused perception systems for automotive radar applications Optimize and implement Aptiv's cutting-edge Radar ML algorithms on embedded platforms Create efficient real-time integrations of complex algorithms for AI System-on-Chips (SoCs) Define clean interfaces between algorithm components and embedded systems Develop and apply tools and methodologies to enhance development workflows Evaluate and recommend hardware platforms that meet our AI/ML requirements Collaborate across disciplines with algorithm experts, system developers, and embedded specialists Bridge the gap between theoretical ML approaches and practical embedded implementations

Required Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical field Proven programming expertise in Python with at least 2 years of professional experience Demonstrated experience developing deep learning solutions in scientific or professional contexts Working knowledge of embedded software development principles and constraints Strong analytical skills and solid mathematical foundation Understanding of perception algorithms and machine learning fundamentals Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in C/C++ programming, including debugging and optimization techniques Experience with code optimization, low-level embedded architectures, and SoC implementations Knowledge of instruction sets, memory architectures, FPGAs, DSPs, and AI accelerators Experience with fixed-point implementation and quantization techniques Hands-on experience with Texas Instruments hardware (TDA4) and Deep Learning Software Library (TIDL) Track record of collaborative software development in team environments Automotive industry experience, particularly with ADAS/AD systems Familiarity with automotive software development standards and processesJoin us in creating the technology that will power the future of mobility and make transportation safer, greener, and more connected.
