Boeing ecommerce team is currently looking for Experienced Software Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) IT organization. The selected individual will work in the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) in Bangalore, India. As an Experienced DevOps Engineer, the selected individual will work with the Boeing India teams and its partners and stakeholders to develop, maintain and improve the ecommerce applications.

Position Responsibilities:

• Software Design, Development of diverse engineering solutions for integrated avionics software.
• Software Development and Review of high-integrity/high criticality avionics software
• Software Design, Development, integration, , testing/verification/validation of software system on embedded hardware.
• Development of engineering documentation and driving configuration management practices.
• Manage configuration of software lifecycle data including implementation of continuous integration and deployment
• Strong experience in understanding Avionics system requirements and system architecture and design, functional integration and certification aspects
• Capture, allocate, and decompose Airplane/Sub-system System Level requirements into Avionics Software level requirements
• Software architecture development through system analysis and Subject Matter technical expertise.
• Strong programming skills with C/C++
• Programming for RTOS Environment : VxWorks, DEOS development and debug targets
• Good Programming experience in Python
• Encode/Decode signals/digital data generated via Avionics Bus Protocols like A429, A664
• Encode/Decode signals/digital data generated via Serial Communication Protocols like RS-485, RS-170A
• Experience in test bench/lab setup for verification and validation. Should perform software level testing with a good understanding of DO178C Design Assurance Level
• Generation and Management of Software Builds
• Build, Integrate, and develop/support Application Program Interfaces (APIs) using a variety of languages, data formats, and data transformations
• Strong experience developing software products, scalable applications using a range of software models including object-oriented and functional design patterns
• Perform trade studies, Preparing white papers and in providing technology and product analysis.
• Participate in product roadmap and strategies development
• Support/Lead SRR (Systems Requirements Review), PDR (Preliminary Design Reviews) and CDR (Critical Design Reviews).
• Mentor Sr Software engineers, to achieve required knowledge and help them in deliver high quality Software.
• Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across the world while defining software Requirements and Architecture, Design
• The engineer should have excellent communication skills to work across Global Engineering teams comprising of diverse demographics
• Support deliveries as defined in the data requirements list to the Boeing stakeholders.
• Support project management by providing periodic status and required metrics data, Metrics based management
• Be dynamic and support management and leads to ensure successful product deliveries.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate the Risk, issues and Opportunities on a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors Engineering degree, Preferably Electronics / Computer Science /Telecom with up to 12 years / Master's degree, with up to 15 years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong Experience with Software Engineering life cycle activities in multiple Avionics domain -Avionics Platforms, Displays, Flight Management, Communication & Navigations systems
• Strong understanding of system and software architectures
• Strong experience in Embedded Platform Software Development and Testing
• Strong experience on RTOS system programming
• Strong experience with developing kernel modules and device drivers
• Strong experience writing software drivers for hardware interfaces on new boards
• Strong Experience in executing multiple DO178 B/C AL A-D programs implementation
• Strong understanding of system and software architectures
• Strong Programming Experience in C/C++
• Strong troubleshooting skills at middleware, device drivers,OS and network level
• Strong experience working with Communication Protocols such as Arinc 429, Arinc 664, RS-422, USB, RS-485, RS-170A, MIL-STD-1553B, CAN
• Strong experience developing software products, scalable applications using a range of software models including object-oriented and functional design patterns
• Strong debugging skills collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
• Demonstrated Lead Software engineering experience with hands on involvement in multiple phases of the program life-cycle, including early system design and development.
• Ability to effectively communicate with engineers, executive and senior-level management, and non-engineering support staff to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables is essential
