Position Overview Boeing India Engineering is currently looking Experienced Propulsion Analysis Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, Karnataka . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organizations. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration and shall work with the Engineering Manager , Project lead & Aerospace Mechanical Design and Systems expert to develop or optimize the designs, engineering process, analyze the supplier quality issues, support the development of cutting-edge technologies and digital initiatives. Position Responsibilities : Knowledge of propulsion system and component design, analysis, performance, and key interfaces related to inlets, exhaust systems, thrust reversers, installed performance, operability, fuel storage, sensing, and delivery, fire protection, propulsion controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, ventilation, air distribution systems, low observables, thermal protection, auxiliary power units, power extraction, and structural interfaces. Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data summarize findings develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. Ability to analyze problems (troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development and modification of company products using knowledge of engineering disciplines (ME, EE, etc.). Advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly [DFM/A]). Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics). Knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business). Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables. Knowledge of fuel systems design, performance, and integration. Knowledge of fuel system operating principles, design variables and requirements, and analysis methods. Knowledge of propulsion system analysis principles, processes, methods, and tools for aerospace vehicles and their components, including company and industry standards and practices. Knowledge of propulsion system components, interfaces and their design/integration variables, within aerospace vehicles. Ability to interface with engine and component suppliers. Knowledge of methods, processes and requirements related to safety, reliability, maintainability and supportability of propulsion systems on aerospace vehicles. Ability to develop innovative propulsion system technologies, tools, and processes. Ability to create and validate new concepts, and design and analysis processes. Collaborates in multi-disciplinary technology development. Capability to communicate to customers and prepares development plans and proposals. Knowledge of development, production and certification testing and/or qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to assess and document test or analysis data for showing compliance. Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance. This position will be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with team members in Boeing organizations and shall provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents. In this role, the Engineer will work independently or with minimum supervision to come up with conceptual and detailed designs based on the requirements. And Pro-actively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work. This position will participate and support initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, customer engagement etc. This position will be located in Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center, Bangalore, India. BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Expert level competency of Python, MathWorks (MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape or equivalent simulation software). Exposure to System Safety Analysis, assessment etc., Experience in Performing requirement validation, traceability analysis Experience in Propulsion Systems Design & Analysis, mechanical design, Tier 1, 2 and 3 requirements, Certification process, Development and Verification of Aircraft systems towards certifications etc., Able to perform independently or with limited guidance from SME or tech fellow. Should able to lead small teams as communication focal, planning, estimation, scheduling and reviewing the deliverables. Perform with positive attitude and highest ethics. Able to verify accuracy of technical and non-technical data. Gathers relevant data for root cause analysis and produces changes to resolve the discrepancies in design packages. Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world. Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8 to 12 years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 7 years\' related work experience etc.) Relocation: This position does offer relocation within INDIA.
