We are seeking a talented and experienced Mexican Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will specialize in authentic Mexican cuisine while also being versatile in preparing a variety of popular international dishes. You will be responsible for creating flavourful, high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook authentic Mexican dishes including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and rice bowls.
Develop and execute menus that also include wings, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, and wraps.
Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation of all food items.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and minimize food wastage.
Collaborate with management to create new menu items and seasonal specials.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Mexican Chef / Cook in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of Mexican spices, marinades, and cooking techniques.
Ability to prepare both Mexican and fusion-style international dishes.
Creativity in food presentation and menu planning.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
