Position Overview: Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) is currently looking for an Experienced Computing Architect (Computing Architect - General) to join the team in Bangalore, India. The Advanced Service Development team in IT&DA Enterprise Architecture is looking for talented and motivated Computing Architects for a team that conducts industry based early research and executes proofs of concept to demonstrate the potential of technology to meet emerging Boeing business needs. The goal of this role is to be part of a team that conduct hands on technology evaluations/proofs of concept to identifyIT and related technologies that will provide a step function change in capabilities to the Boeing enterprise. The Computing Architect will work with Boeing IT resources across a global Boeing team to understand business requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs. The architect will be part of the team that engages vendors to understand capabilities, assess feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives, perform trade-off analyses, and evaluate integration into delivery system environments. This architect will be an innovator for the company who remains open to new ideas, detects trends and embraces continuous learning by putting new knowledge to use. Position Responsibilities: Perform industry based early research into emerging digital technologies and author technology briefs for use throughout the enterprise Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to plan and execute proof of concept activities associated to emerging technologies. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to prepare emerging technology advanced insertion into the enterprise. Participate and lead conversations with technology vendors in partnership with Indirect Supply Chain. Leverage your curiosity and passion for technology to stay informed on emerging technology trends. Design and recommend appropriate IT architectures for emerging technologies using architecture principles Support, lead, and collaboratively improve agile tools and techniques used to drive and prioritize work. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3 or more years\' experience working with and building cross-functional teams and partnerships with multiple stakeholders within the company, engineering and test. Experience managing supplier relationships and performing supplier technology evaluations. 3 or more years\' experience working with Project management skills, and ability to drive performance to plan and results. Knowledge of and understanding importance of Architecture, architecture principles and technology architecture/design in a large complex enterprise such as Boeing. 1 or more years\' experience Knowledgeable about latest IT technology trends and ability to assess applicability of new technology to existing business processes. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Desire to learn and conduct hands-on experiments, product evaluations and proof of concepts in a diverse array of technologies with the goal of enabling business outcomes. Communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage peers, both within and outside the organization and the ability to use appropriate visualization (models, diagrams, views, etc.) to communicate ideas. Experience delivering solutions that align to the lifecycle of IT solution delivery including requirements, architecture, software development (Agile/Traditional/DevSecOps), Testing, Delivery and Production support. Technical experience building & deploying applications in Cloud environments using DevSecOps Technical experience building & deploying COTS products in Cloud environments for evaluation Familiar with one or more Digital Enterprise Systems like PLM, MOM, and ERP Boeing or aerospace domain process and tools knowledge Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+7 years\' related work experience.
