You are a creative and strategic thinker with a passion for home furnishing and retail design. With a deep understanding of customer behavior and retail space planning, you bring innovative solutions to enhance the shopping experience. You have a strong background in retail design, visual merchandising, and project management, with a proven ability to lead teams and drive results. You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are motivated by creating an IKEA fit for the future. Your leadership skills and ability to work cross-functionally make you an asset to any team.

Your Experience & Skills:

Advanced training in retail design, interior design, art and design, planning, or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing businesses and delivering results, preferably within home furnishing and retail design solution development. At least 2 years of experience in leading and influencing teams. Strong shop design and project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality. Knowledge of the Retail Establishment Process and experience of implementing it. A creative mindset with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions, leveraging new methods, digital systems, and processes. A deep understanding of customer needs, their living situations, and trends in home furnishing and retail design. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate across functions while staying aligned with IKEA's tone of voice and values. Ability to prioritize and make decisions with speed and simplicity. A holistic mindset to identify business opportunities within a global organization.

Your responsibilities



Lead the design and implementation of retail spaces for new Customer Meeting Points (CMPs) and major rebuilds, ensuring they are inspiring, and commercial while reflecting IKEA's identity.

Support the project team in shop design to ensure an inspiring and functional range presentation across all customer meeting points. Inspire and develop presentation solutions that reflect a variety of styles, price levels, and life-at-home activities, aligned with seasonal commercial activities. Design retail spaces based on customer journeys and adapt them to meet the needs of different markets across India, collaborating with market teams, central planning hubs, and Inter IKEA Systems. Utilize global tools, best practices, and proven solutions while ensuring local relevance. Deliver projects within expected quality, time, and budget while ensuring an outstanding customer experience and strengthening the IKEA brand. Stay at the forefront of new solutions and technologies to optimize customer experience and operational efficiency. Ensure a seamless and convenient shopping experience, creating an attractive commercial atmosphere. Lead and collaborate across functions within the country organization and Ingka Group to create a seamless multichannel shopping experience. Promote a culture of sharing, inclusivity, and sustainability, aligned with IKEA values and commitments.
