Job Description

A Bodyshop Spare Parts Executive manages the inventory, procurement, and availability of automotive parts for body repair, ensuring technicians have needed components by controlling stock, ordering from suppliers/OEMs, managing catalogues, and minimizing downtime for efficient shop operations and customer satisfaction. Key duties include inventory control (reorder points, obsolescence), supplier liaison, parts sales, record-keeping, and collaborating with service departments. Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

: Control stock levels, monitor fast-moving parts, manage obsolete parts, and ensure high parts turnover.

Procurement

: Liaise with manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers to prevent stock-outs and manage claims/promotions.

Operational Support

: Ensure timely parts availability for body repairs, maintain updated catalogues, and manage parts movement.

Sales & Customer Service

: Sell parts over the counter, handle customer inquiries, and support the bodyshop advisors.

System & Reporting

: Work with computerized inventory systems (DMS), manage receivables, and maintain accurate records.

Collaboration

: Work closely with the service and bodyshop departments to coordinate repair needs.
Essential Skills & Qualifications

Experience

: Proven experience in automotive spare parts management, preferably within an auto body or service center.

Technical Knowledge

: Strong understanding of automotive parts, catalogues, and inventory systems.

Soft Skills

: Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Computer Literacy

: Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (Word, Excel).

Education

: A degree or diploma, with an automotive/mechanical background preferred.
