Position Overview:
The Production Assistant will support the production team by providing administrative, technical, and logistical assistance throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD and a strong background in furniture design or manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Support:
Assist in coordinating production schedules and managing project timelines.
Provide administrative support to the production team, including documentation, reporting, and tracking of production metrics.
Prepare and maintain production-related documentation and records.
AutoCAD Drafting:
Create and modify AutoCAD drawings and schematics for furniture designs and production layouts.
Ensure accuracy and precision in CAD drawings to facilitate efficient production processes.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to incorporate feedback and revisions into CAD models.
Furniture Line Experience:
Utilize knowledge of furniture design and manufacturing processes to assist in the development and production of furniture lines.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Assist in quality control processes to ensure that finished products meet design specifications and quality standards.
Project Coordination:
Communicate with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any production-related issues.
Track project progress and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
Support the implementation of new production processes and improvements.
General Duties:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or team leads.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience with AutoCAD, including drafting and designing technical drawings.
Prior experience in furniture design, manufacturing, or a related field is highly desirable.
Familiarity with production processes and quality control in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
Strong understanding of furniture design principles and production techniques.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
