About this Role:
We are seeking a Junior Engineer with a solid understanding of network fault and performance management. The individual will be responsible for managing the availability of performance management solutions and fulfilling operational duties as defined by the performance team lead. This role demands prior training in the basics of application support.
What you will do

  • Acknowledge incidents, problems, and service requests, handling them with appropriate support from senior team members to ensure SLA compliance.
  • Utilize Confluence and Jira to document knowledge training sessions and best practices for SOPs and MOPs.
  • Gain operational understanding of managed solutions and data flow.
  • Monitor system performance and analyse trends.
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and end-users, to understand their needs and provide technical support.
Who you are:
  • You have a good conceptual understanding of performance management tools and application operations.
  • You understand ITIL basics and virtualization concepts.
  • You have a good understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems commands, with scripting and automation skills using languages like shell and Python being an added advantage.
  • You are a team player, quick learner, and self-motivated.
  • You possess good communication and presentation skills in English (both written and spoken).
