JOB PURPOSE

The Executive - Airside Operations (Survey) is responsible for surveying all the structure/ buildings/ masts in the vicinity of aerodrome up to 20 km from ARP on regular or ad-hoc basis as per regulations of GSR 751(E). He/she shall be responsible for monitoring the obstacle lights for serviceability as per regulatory requirement. He/she shall be familiar with the use of survey equipment such as DGPS, Total station, etc. He/she shall be able to actively perform Airside Ops duties, as required. He/ she shall contribute to effective implementation of the Airport operational concept in the airside. Proficiency in AUTOCAD and airport planning/ designing software will carry additional weightage in order to manage processes/ resources on the Airside in a pro-active manner. A sound knowledge of computer applications is desirable with working knowledge on MS Office and related software.

Major Activities



Surveying



Surveying all the structures/buildings/masts on regular and on requirement basis within 20 Km of ARP. Surveying and monitoring the obstacle lights within and outside the airport and maintaining records as per regulatory requirements. Plotting of data captured in Google map. Height monitoring around the airport. Monitoring of Crane operations as per approvals. Provide assistance during the AIS survey of the aerodrome.

Data management



Maintaining records of all the surveys and shall be required to produce the same to management as and when required. Maintaining records for all type of violation and their closure reports. Generation of weekly/monthly/Yearly report (Excel, PDF, PPT) Maintaining NOC data/ records. Maintaining records of Crane approvals & violations and Aerodrome obstacle data. Updating and maintaining the currency of AIS charts. Maintaining the calibration reports of the survey equipment Updation and maintaining of the master plan of the airport and project data of all BIAL projects.

Equipment performance



Maintaining the serviceability of all the survey equipment. Calibration and regular upkeep of equipments.

Co-ordination and liasioning



Co-ordination and liasioning with local bodies (PDOs, BBMP officials, town planning executive etc.) Co-ordination with internal departments (Aviation safety, E&M, HR-Admin, Master planning, Projects etc).

Airside Operations Support



Support Airside operation in terms of Surveillance, Inspections, Facilitation, Enforcement & Incident Management. Any other task assigned by HOD.

Performance Measures:



Total number of NOC cases surveyed (building/structure/mast)



Number of violation (within Permissible Top Elevation) observed and closed.

Number of violation (exceeding Permissible Top Elevation) observed and closed.

Total number of crane operation approvals.

Monitoring of OBS lights within and outside airport and maintaining status of serviceability.

Liasioning and educating the local bodies during planned survey visits.

Ability to handle pressure situations.

JOB SPECIFICATION


Education qualification and certifications

B. Tech, B.E or diploma in Civil Engineering of three years with relevant exposure to Survey works preferably Obstacle survey. Prior experience in airport surveys is desirable.

5.3. Computer skills
