: B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering (Good to Have: MBA - Operations / Strategy / Supply Chain / General Management)
Experience
: Minimum 1 year of experience in strategies & operations in the chemical industry.
The Executive - Strategies & Operations will be responsible for day-to-day execution and coordination of business operations, plant activities, procurement follow-ups, regulatory documentation, and project tracking. This role is primarily execution-focused, ensuring that all plans, approvals, and operational tasks are completed accurately and on time through strong coordination with internal teams and vendors.
Must Haves:
Closely work with CMD office to execute business and operational tasks assigned under strategy and growth initiatives.
Analyse data and key metrics to assess performance of existing processes / procurement / sales and prepare analysis reports for optimisation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement projects for process and operational improvement.
Monitor and follow up on action points related to company vision and innovation projects to ensure timely completion.
Coordinate with plant teams for daily operational updates, action point follow-ups, and execution support.
Support infrastructure readiness, utilities, and plant-level project execution.
Coordinate with procurement for technical inputs related to CAPEX and OPEX items.
Support statutory and legal documentation related to GIDC, GPCB, PESO, and other regulatory bodies.
Maintain project trackers, compliance trackers, and execution follow-up sheets.
Prepare periodic status reports and internal progress updates on ongoing projects and executions.
Ensure all documentation is properly maintained and audit-ready.
Coordinate between plant, purchase, finance, compliance, and logistics teams for smooth execution.
Visit the plant as and when required for execution and coordination support
Experience in specialty chemicals, pharma intermediates, or performance chemicals
Good understanding of chemical plant operations and documentation
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data for decision-making, perform data scraping and validation, analyze market trends for buying and selling of chemicals, and maintain accurate records. Advance Excel experience with hands-on experience with project tracking systems
Experience coordinating with plant, purchase, and vendors
Good technical communication skills with vendors and consultants
Strong ownership, follow-up, and execution discipline with strong project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Exposure to GIDC, GPCB, PESO, DISH or any other regulatory authority
Experience supporting project execution
Experience working in a multi-unit chemical manufacturing setup
Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements is a plus
Change management expertise with the ability to influence and gain buy-in from stakeholders
Knowledge of software and tools for process analysis and optimization.
Continuous learning mindset with the ability to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Hands-on experience with SAP, AutoCAD, and Power BI.
