Role SummaryThe Retail Sales Executive - Spices is responsible for promoting and selling spice products at retail outlets, engaging with walk-in customers, maintaining shelf visibility, and achieving store-level sales targets.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Engagement- Greet customers and understand their cooking and spice requirements.- Recommend appropriate spice products based on quality, usage, and cuisine.- Drive daily and monthly sales targets at assigned retail stores.Merchandising & Display- Ensure proper product placement, visibility, and branding on shelves.- Maintain FIFO practices to avoid expired stock.- Support in setting up promotions, tastings, or demos if required.Stock & Store Coordination- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors for replenishment.- Assist with stock counts and store audits.- Coordinate with store managers and distributors.Market Intelligence- Track competitor pricing, schemes, and new product launches.- Provide customer feedback to the sales or marketing team.Required Skills- Customer handling and communication- Retail sales and upselling skills- FMCG / food product awareness- Basic billing or POS knowledge- Attention to hygiene and product handlingQualifications & Experience- Minimum 12th Pass- 1-3 years of retail sales experience (FMCG / spices preferred)- Languages - kannada, Hindi, English- Freshers with strong customer orientation may applyKPIs- Store-level sales achievement- Customer satisfaction and repeat sales- Product visibility and display quality- Stock availability and minimal expiries (ref:updazz.com)
