The Planning Executive will be responsible for production planning, inventory monitoring,
and
material requirement planning (MRP)
to ensure smooth manufacturing and timely
delivery of snacks & sweets products. This role requires strong coordination across
functions and the ability to manage short shelf-life products, perishable ingredients, and
seasonal demand fluctuations.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning
Prepare daily and weekly production schedules based on sales orders, demand forecasts,
and festive requirements.Coordinate with production, procurement, and QA teams to ensure timely availability of
raw materials and packaging.Track production progress and update plans to minimize downtime or bottlenecks.
Inventory Planning & ControlMonitor stock levels of raw materials (sugar, ghee, flour, milk, nuts, packaging, etc.) and
finished goods.Maintain optimal inventory levels while reducing wastage and excess holding.
Implement FIFO/FEFO principles for perishable goods to ensure freshness.
Material Requirement Planning (MRP)Generate material requirement schedules based on consumption and production plans.
Coordinate with procurement for timely supply of ingredients and packaging materials.
Ensure alternate sourcing plans are in place during high-demand/festive seasons.
Coordination & Reporting
Act as the point of contact between procurement, production, sales, and logistics teams.
Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports on production vs. plan, material consumption, and stock
status.Support supply chain team in demand forecasting and capacity planning.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and MRP.
Proficiency in Excel/ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Understanding of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP).
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Food Technology, or related
field.1-3 years of experience in production planning / inventory control (preferably in Snacks,
Sweets, or FMCG industry).* Fresh graduates with strong analytical and Excel skills may also be considered.
