Purpose of the Job

:

To carry out product design & development activities of OHT category.

Major Responsibilities

:

Assist Product design and development in OHT category (Cavity, Tread pattern & Layout preparation) and validation through Simulation group.

Prepare design input requirements based on customer voice and design benchmarking analysis

Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products.

Conceptualize and prepare design proposals.

Prepare of detail manufacturing drawings.

Prepare of input for Mould design.

Prepare of design documents for OHT.

Coordinate with Product team and test centre for design validation.

CFT visit for Product performance study in field for specific defect analysis.

Preparation of physical test reports & analysis.

Parametric technique development for tread pattern, layout and cavity of OHT category.

Knowledge (Technical / Functional)

a) OHT tyre tread pattern design and cavity design.

b) Product design concepts


c) Tyre Engineering and tyre testing


c ) Tyre mould design

d) Design standards and regulations


e) Automotive Design and Vehicle dynamics

f) Tyre simulation (basic level)

Skills:

Software skills and hands-on experience in; CATIA / NX ,AutoCad

Education:

Graduate engineer in Mechanical or Automobile

Experience:

2 to 3 years experience in Tire design experience
