The Executive - Maintenance is responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair of all plant equipment and machinery. This includes implementing various maintenance strategies (preventive, corrective, predictive, and condition-based), performing repairs, maintaining meticulous records, and ensuring all work is done in compliance with safety standards. The role requires a hands-on approach and strong attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repair:
Execute all types of maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, predictive, and condition-based maintenance, to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Perform timely repairs on machinery and equipment as needed, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
Assist in the installation of new equipment and the improvement of existing systems.
Documentation & Record-keeping:
Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance and repair records, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history.
Prepare and update technical documentation, manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and tools.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all company safety norms and regulations during maintenance activities.
Actively participate in safety briefings and contribute to a culture of workplace safety.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Vendor Coordination:
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, spare parts procurement, and service agreements.
Ensure quality of work from external parties and verify compliance with project requirements.
Other incidental work as and when delegated by management.
Qualifications:
B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Strong foundational knowledge of
mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment
.
Basic understanding of different maintenance types (
preventive, corrective, and predictive
).
A keen interest in hands-on work and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong desire to learn.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Relevant hands-on projects, workshops, or internships are a plus.
