Prosecution & Portfolio Management
Conduct comprehensive searches for trademarks, copyrights, and designs.
Prepare and file applications, renewals, and other forms with the relevant national and international registries as in house consel.
Respond to office actions and objections from examiners. Attend hearings, replying to objections filed by registry, counter replies, evidence,
Prepare and record assignments and licenses of IP assets.
Maintain and update IP records and databases, ensuring all hard and soft copies are properly managed.
Provide strategic advice on IP protection and brand strategy.
Enforcement & Litigation
Draft and file oppositions against conflicting applications.
Prepare cease and desist letters and negotiate settlements.
Conduct legal research and analysis for infringement and passing off cases.
Draft pleadings, writs, and other litigation documents.
Liaise with external counsel and attend court hearings when required.
Stay informed about changes in relevant laws, including but not limited to Trademarks, copyright, designs, patents and other IP-related statutes.
Reporting & Travel
Provide a detailed work report on a weekly basis.
Should be open to travel pan-India as and when required.
Minimum Qualification:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent.
Experience Required:
5+ years of proven experience post completion of law.
