Role Summary
Job Summary: : A Material Planner in Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for ensuring that materials required for production are available on time and in full. He/ She will be responsible for effective coordination between procurement, operation, quality, warehouse, logistic and other CFT as part of material planning process while optimizing inventory levels. They collaborate with stakeholders, analyse inventory levels and ensure release of purchase requisitions and schedule delivery as per production plan.
Material planner are also responsible for requirement planning based upon annual budget and material lead times. He/She will also coordinate with CMOs on Third party manufacturing for RM| PPM material transfer.
Responsibilities:
1. Material Requirement Planning:
o Develop material plans based on rolling forecasts and production schedules.
o Monitor demand fluctuations and adjust material requirements accordingly.
o Collate the BOM from production and review the actual consumption against the demand
2. Stakeholder Communication:
o Conduct weekly meetings with relevant stakeholders (e.g., production, procurement) to discuss material availability and quality release.
o Ensure alignment between material plans and production schedules.
3. Inventory Analysis:
o Regularly assess inventory levels for raw materials
o Track inventory against established safety stock levels
4. Purchase Requisition Process:
o Raise purchase requisitions based on material requirements.
o Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely material procurement.
5. Receipt Schedule Development:
o Create receipt schedules for incoming materials.
o Share schedules with the procurement team to facilitate timely deliveries.
6. Inventory Optimization:
o Identify non-moving, slow-moving, or ageing inventory.
o Take appropriate actions (e.g., liquidation, reclassification) to optimize inventory levels.

Educational Qualifications
Required Education Qualification: M.Sc
Required Experience: 1 - 4 years
