Job Purpose



To manage shift-level laboratory and dyeing operations efficiently, ensuring that key dye house performance indicators--such as RFT, CQ, LpMpD, attempts per match, and lead times--are consistently achieved and improved. The role also ensures smooth coordination of laboratory activities, including LRM/DTM coordination, colour matching, sample preparation, and machine operations across shifts. The executive is responsible for optimal utilization of resources (manpower, machinery, and energy) and strict compliance with SOPs on the shop floor.


Key Responsibilities & Result Areas


Health & Safety:

+ Monitor and improve leading and lagging safety indicators.
+ Review and implement TaRA (Task Risk Assessment), MOC (Management of Change), and MSA (Measurement System Analysis).

6S & Sustainability:

+ Maintain 6S standards in the assigned zone.
+ Optimize sustainability KPIs - Water (L/kg), Energy (Kwh/kg), and Waste (%).

Customer Focus & Quality:

+ Reduce customer complaints per 100 order lines.
+ Manage TUC Kg and monitor Fail Store stock movements.

Lab & Production KPIs:

+ Ensure lab service levels within 24-48 hours and dyeing lead times within 24 hours.
+ Optimize:
- Attempts per match
- RFT% (Right First Time)
- CQ% (Customer Quality)
- Operative hours per dye lot / 100kg
- LpMpD (Lab per Match per Day)
- Machine Efficiency and Utilization %

Innovation & Improvements:

+ Drive redyeing and DTM development success rates.
+ Deliver productivity improvement projects.
+ Lead/participate in LSS (Lean Six Sigma) projects, Kaizen initiatives, and develop OPLs (One Point Lessons).

Required Knowledge, Skills & Competencies



Educational Qualifications:

+ Engineering or Postgraduate degree in relevant sciences (Textile Technology, Chemistry, Textile Processing, etc.) with 2-3 years of experience, OR
+ Diploma/Undergraduate degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Technical Proficiency:

+ Working knowledge of dye house systems and tools such as:
- Colour Systems Software
- Dye Sect
- Sedo Master
- Technorama
- Logic Art & Lawer (or equivalent textile systems)

Technology & Tools:

+ Proficiency in SAP (relevant modules).

Soft Skills:

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Effective team collaboration and coordination.

Compliance Knowledge:

+ Awareness of Health & Safety standards and legal requirements.
