Job overview:

The HR Generalist will support and manage day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and HR documentation. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various teams.

Key Responsibilities



1. Recruitment & Onboarding



Support end-to-end hiring for various departments.

Conduct screening, schedule interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers.

Prepare offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documents.

Ensure smooth induction and joining formalities for new employees.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement



Serve as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns.

Support internal communication and engagement activities.

Assist in organizing employee events, celebrations, and team-building initiatives.

Help maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

3. Payroll & Attendance Management



Coordinate monthly attendance, leave management, and timesheet updates.

Work closely with finance/payroll teams to ensure accurate salary processing.

Address payroll-related queries from employees.

4. HR Operations & Administration



Maintain and update employee records in HRIS/HRMS.

Prepare HR letters (experience letters, transfer letters, warnings, etc.).

Manage employee documentation and ensure data confidentiality.

Maintain HR reports, trackers, and MIS.

5. Performance Management



Assist in implementation of performance appraisal systems.

Coordinate KRAs/OKRs, performance review cycles, and feedback collection.

Support managers with performance discussions where needed.

6. Training & Development



Identify training needs and coordinate internal/external training sessions.

Maintain training calendars and feedback metrics.

7. Policy & Compliance



Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and labor laws.

Support audits, statutory compliance documentation, and HR policy updates.

Help implement disciplinary procedures when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications



MBA in HR

2-3 years of experience in HR generalist or HR operations role.

Good understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and compliance.

Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS/HRIS tools.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Skills



Experience with payroll systems.

Knowledge of performance management tools.

Ability to handle employee grievances effectively.

Experience in employee engagement programs.
