Job Purpose:

Executive - Forging is responsible for designing and developing forging processes and tooling that meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements by optimizing material flow, die design and process parameters while supporting manufacturing operations to improve yield, reduce defects and control costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Review forging manufacturing feasibility and customer drawings.
Forging cost estimation with optimum resource utilization.
Prepare forging process sheets and drawings for day-to-day production requirements.
Design forging dies and tooling based on defined process parameters.
Conduct forging simulations and validate designs to minimize defects and rework.
Analyse production and trial data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance die life, yield, and productivity.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with customer specifications and applicable industry standards.
Maintain design and process documentation and support internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

B.Tech. / Diploma

Experience:

Minimum 1 year for B.Tech candidates & minimum 8 years for Diploma candidates.

Industry Background:

Experience in Open Die Forging industry.

Technical Expertise:

Hands on experience of working in an open die forging industry with press capacity above 2000 MT.
Experience in

production planning

and

engineering design

for major forgings used in

Aerospace, Defense, Nuclear and Oil & Gas

sectors.
Strong knowledge of forging processes, materials (specialty steels, stainless steels & super alloys) and design & development of forging tools.
Hands on experience in AutoCAD software. Working with 3D modelling software will be an added advantage

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of open die forging processes, forging technology. Knowledge of metallurgy will be an added advantage.
Experience in understanding international standards, specifications and customer specifications.
Familiarity with customer audits and compliance requirements.
Skilled in preparing, maintaining and reviewing technical documentation.
Strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.

Strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
