Executive - Machine Shop

Job Purpose:

Executive- Machine Shop is responsible for leading machining operations, optimizing resources to ensure timely production, dispatch readiness and compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage shift manpower for conditioning and finishing operations. Monitor and plan of tools and consumables for smooth shift activities. Ensure machining of forgings as per approved drawings, tolerances and quality requirements. Conduct dimensional inspection during in-process and final stage of production. Coordinate and execute dimensional inspections with customers and third-party inspectors. Assess machining feasibility for new enquiries and provide technical inputs. Coordinate with PPC for daily, weekly and monthly production and dispatch planning. Ensure packaging, marking, and documentation readiness for dispatch materials Monitor tool life, machine utilization and highlight/report any deviations SAP activities for material transfer.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Diploma in Mechanical / Production

Experience:

7 - 10 Years in steel mill / open die forging / machining industry. Hands-on experience with lathe, VTL, milling, boring, grinding, plano-miller and band saw machines. Experience in machining and dimensional inspection of alloy steel and stainless steel.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Stronge knowledge of machining processes, tolerances, and inspection techniques. Proficiency in SAP, production reporting and documentation for traceability. Strong planning and manpower management capabilities. Effective coordination with PPC, dispatch and cross-functional teams. Problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise in machining operations.

Familiarity with industry quality standards and compliance requirements.
