The Executive - Finance & Accounts is responsible for supporting day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts reconciliation, statutory compliance, and import/export transactions. This role ensures accurate financial data, timely reporting, and assists the finance and trade teams in budgeting, cost monitoring, and audit readiness. The position reports to the Assistant Manager / DGM Finance & Accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and subsidiary ledgers.
Record transactions for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Perform regular bank and vendor reconciliations.
2. Financial Reporting
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
Maintain documentation for internal and external audit purposes
3. Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
Assist in internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
4. Import & Export Operations
Assist in managing import/export documentation and financial transactions.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs, and logistics teams.
Ensure compliance with customs, foreign trade regulations, and import/export policies.
Reconcile import/export invoices, LC (Letter of Credit) payments, and currency conversions.
5. Cost Control & Operational Support
Monitor day-to-day expenses and operational costs.
Assist in preparing financial analysis for management decision-making.
6. ERP & Process Support
Maintain accurate records in ERP/accounting software.
Support process improvements in accounting, trade, and reporting workflows.
7. Coordination & Teamwork
Coordinate with finance, operations, logistics, and other departments for financial and trade-related inputs.
Support senior finance personnel in various tasks and reporting.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Graduate in Commerce / Finance / Accounting (B.Com, BBA Finance, or equivalent).
Experience:
1-4 years in finance & accounts, preferably with exposure to import/export operations and/or manufacturing/industrial sectors.
Skills:
