Job Summary:



The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations in the hotel, including menu planning, food preparation, kitchen staff management, inventory control, and maintaining food quality and safety standards. The Executive Chef ensures a high level of guest satisfaction through consistent, high-quality food and efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan and develop menus for the hotel's restaurant(s), room service, banquets, and special events. Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other culinary personnel. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene as per hotel and regulatory standards. Ensure proper inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Train and develop kitchen staff to uphold hotel standards and ensure efficient operation. Monitor food costs, labor costs, and profitability of culinary operations. Collaborate with the F&B Manager to plan food promotions, seasonal menus, and special events. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (FSSAI, HACCP standards, etc.). Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas. Address guest feedback regarding food and make improvements as needed. Control and manage kitchen budget and operating costs.

Qualifications & Skills:



Degree/Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management. Minimum 5-7 years of kitchen experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or executive chef role (preferably in a hotel). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. In-depth knowledge of various cuisines (continental, Indian, local, etc.). Ability to manage costs and increase kitchen efficiency. Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.

Working Conditions:



Full-time position; flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Fast-paced kitchen environment requiring physical stamina and multitasking.
