The Association of People with Disability (APD) is a pioneering nonprofit organization based in Bangalore, India. For over six decades, APD has been working to empower people with disabilities through sustainable, community-based programs in health, education, livelihoods, and advocacy.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Executive Assistant (EA)
to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the
CEO of APD
. The EA will serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, efficient communication, and strong coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role demands discretion, initiative, and exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities

Executive Support
Manage CEO's calendar, appointments, and travel plans efficiently.
Prepare and organize materials for meetings, presentations, and reports.
Attend and record minutes of key meetings; track action items and follow-ups.
Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest discretion.

Strategic Support
Assist in coordinating strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Conduct research, gather data, and provide insights to support decision-making.
Draft communications, proposals, and briefing notes for internal and external use.

Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with board members, donors, partners, and government officials as needed.
Facilitate smooth communication between the CEO's office and various departments.
Represent the CEO's office professionally in interactions and correspondence.

Administrative Management
Oversee document filing, correspondence, expense reports, and travel reimbursements.
Support the CEO in managing time and priorities effectively.
Maintain records of key decisions, plans, and performance indicators.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
5+ years of relevant experience supporting senior leadership (preferably in NGOs or development sector).
Excellent command of English (written and verbal); Kannada proficiency is a plus.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual collaboration tools.
High emotional intelligence, discretion, and integrity.

Passion for social impact and working with disability-related causes.
Ability to adapt quickly and work independently under tight deadlines.
