Role Overview
The
Assistant to Managing Director
will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth coordination across departments, handling factory operations, managing vendor and labour relationships, maintaining accounts in Tally, and assisting the Managing Director with reporting and follow-ups.
This is a
multi-functional role
suited for someone reliable, organized, and comfortable working closely with senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
Supervise
daily factory operations
, labour attendance, and overall floor discipline.
Coordinate with production, dispatch, and procurement teams for timely workflow.
Manage and report
daily production, stock, and raw material usage
.
Build and maintain strong relationships with
vendors and suppliers
, handling orders, deliveries, and payment follow-ups.
Monitor
inventory and stock levels
using Tally and Excel.
Verify vendor bills and assist in purchase tracking and expense control.
Accounts & Administrative Support
Handle
day-to-day accounting
in Tally: purchase, sales, journal, and expense entries.
Maintain
petty cash
, prepare expense summaries, and track outstanding payments.
Assist in preparing
MIS reports
, financial summaries, and data for management.
Liaise with external accountants or CA for reconciliation and compliance.
Support the Managing Director with
administrative tasks, scheduling, and documentation
.
Reporting & Coordination
Prepare
daily and weekly operational reports
for review by the Managing Director.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely execution of decisions.
Follow up on assigned tasks and ensure completion within deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field (
B.Com / BBA required
)
Postgraduate degree preferred

M.Com / MBA (Finance or Operations)

Experience:
2-5 years in manufacturing, trading, or similar setup.
Strong command of
Tally ERP
,
MS Excel
, and accounting fundamentals.
Good understanding of
labour coordination, stock control, and vendor management
.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in
Punjabi, Hindi, and English
.
Must be
organized, trustworthy, and proactive
in assisting management decisions.
