Job Description

We are seeking for an

Executive - Academic Counsellor

to provide advanced guidance to students on academic, career, and personal development, including developing personalized learning plans, assisting with college and career transitions, and monitoring student progress. Executive roles often involve higher-level responsibilities like managing relationships with educational institutions, developing program strategies, and handling complex student issues and admissions processes, sometimes with a sales or enrolment target component.

Experience - Minimum (6 Months - 1 Year) is required in the similar domain.



Key responsibilities



Student guidance and counselling:

Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions on academic, career, and personal goals. Assist students in selecting courses, programs, and educational pathways. Help students transition from high school to college or prepare for graduate school, including advising on applications and financial aid.

Academic planning and monitoring:

Create personalized learning plans based on student needs and goals. Monitor student progress through grades, transcripts, and other feedback. Help students develop coping strategies for academic and personal stress.

Administrative and strategic tasks:

Manage student records and administrative documents. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, admissions) to ensure up-to-date information. Keep informed about institutional policies and program requirements.

Sales and recruitment:

Achieve enrolment targets through consultative selling techniques. Conduct informational webinars and presentations. Handle objections and negotiate with prospective students and parents.

Qualifications



Education:

A Bachelor's degree is a minimum requirement, while a Master's degree in counselling, education, or a related field is often required for more senior or specialized positions.

Experience:



Prior experience in academic advising, student counselling, or educational administration is crucial. Experience in a specific area, such as international admissions, standardized testing or university programs, may be required.

Skills:



Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills are essential. Knowledge of educational systems, policies, and curriculum planning is needed. Organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are also important.
