Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our team. The operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment (primarily excavators) to perform tasks such as digging, loading, trenching, grading, and material handling on construction, mining, or plant sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, strong attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Operate excavators and related heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Perform digging, grading, trenching, and loading tasks according to site plans and instructions. Inspect and maintain equipment daily; report malfunctions, defects, or required repairs. Follow site safety procedures and comply with company and regulatory guidelines (e.g., PPE use, traffic rules). Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and other operators for smooth workflow. Conduct pre-start checks and routine lubrication, refueling, and minor adjustments. Ensure excavation is carried out to correct depth, angle, and alignment as per project requirements. Maintain productivity while minimizing fuel usage and machine wear. Assist in site preparation, backfilling, and clearing debris when required. Keep accurate records of work completed and report to supervisors.

Qualifications :

Proven experience as an Excavator Operator (2-5 years preferred). Valid Heavy Equipment Operator license or certification (as per local regulations). Strong knowledge of construction, mining, or plant site safety procedures. Ability to read site plans, drawings, and grade specifications. Physical fitness to perform outdoor labor-intensive tasks. Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude. Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, or extended hours if project requires.

Expertise in operating hydraulic excavators and attachments (e.g., rock breakers, augers, buckets). Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Communication and teamwork skills. Safety-first mindset with attention to detail. Time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
