The Excavator Mechanic is responsible for inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of excavators and other heavy earth-moving equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations at site.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspection, servicing, and preventive maintenance of excavators
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, pumps, valves, hoses, and cylinders
Carry out breakdown maintenance at site and minimize equipment downtime
Read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and hydraulic schematics
Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and spare parts usage
Ensure adherence to safety standards and site regulations
Coordinate with site supervisors and operations team for maintenance schedules
Assist in commissioning and testing of new equipment if required
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade certification
Minimum
2 years of hands-on experience
as an Excavator or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Good knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and heavy machinery
Ability to work independently at remote sites
Basic communication skills in English
Willingness to work in
overseas site conditions

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance of diesel generators
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in generators
Overhaul engines, alternators, fuel systems, and cooling systems
Monitor generator performance, fuel consumption, and load efficiency
Maintain logbooks, service reports, and breakdown records
Ensure proper functioning of control panels, batteries, and wiring
Follow safety procedures and site compliance requirements
Support installation, commissioning, and synchronization of generators
Coordinate with site engineers for power requirements and maintenance planning
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Minimum
2 years of experience
as a Generator Mechanic
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and generator control systems
