OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all conferences and events planning operations. . Leads Events Planning associates and acts as a liaison between Banquets, Sales and customer to ensure consistent, high level service throughout hotel events. Promotes consistency by executing events based on Events/Food and Beverage standard operating procedures (P&Ps). Recognizes opportunities to up-sell and suggests enhancements to create outstanding events. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience

  • Conferences & Events "front of the house" management experience with demonstrated leadership
Skills and Knowledge Education or Certification
  • Hospitality Management Diploma or Degree beneficial
Skills and Knowledge
  • Effective sales skills to up-sell products and services
  • Knowledge of Events planning and service operations
  • Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation and banquet and event service operations
  • Knowledge of overall hotel operations as they affect department
  • Knowledge of Event Technology products and services
  • Financial management skills e.g., ability to understand P&L statements, manage operating budgets, forecasting and scheduling
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Effective conflict management skills
  • Strong customer and associate relation skills
  • Effective coaching and development skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems
  • Effective decision making skills
