Role Overview
The Events Manager and Anchor will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing WonderLab's interactive science events. This dual role requires both strong organizational skills and the charisma to serve as the primary on-stage host, engaging young audiences and ensuring every event is memorable.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end planning, management, and execution of science-themed children's events and workshops, ensuring each runs smoothly and delivers exceptional experiences.?
Serve as the main anchor and host during events, introducing experiments, facilitating activities, and maintaining energy and engagement for all attendees.?
Collaborate on content creation for scripts, presentations, and activity kits tailored to different age groups.
Coordinate logistics with the operations team, including scheduling, setup, vendor management, supplies, and risk assessment.?
Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
Provide on-the-spot troubleshooting and problem-solving to overcome any event-day challenges.?
Gather feedback post-event from parents, participants, and team members to drive continuous improvement.
Promote upcoming events through multiple channels and represent WonderLab at community and promotional initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in event management, anchoring, or a related field (exceptional freshers considered).
Strong public speaking, hosting, and audience engagement skills, particularly with children.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, coordinate logistics, and work with cross-functional teams.?
Experience or deep interest in science communication, informal education, or the performing arts.
Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Google Suite; basic media editing is a plus.
Organized, proactive, energetic, and a reliable team player willing to travel for events.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; experience and passion for children's education highly valued.
