Job Description

Candidate applying for ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) operator must be able to manages and monitors the operations of an effluent treatment plant, ensuring that treated wastewater meets environmental regulations. This involves overseeing the treatment process, maintaining equipment, performing routine inspections, and handling operational issues to ensure the plant functions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities of an ETP Operator:

Operation and Maintenance:

Running the treatment processes, ensuring equipment functionality, and conducting routine maintenance.

Monitoring and Testing:

Regularly monitoring water quality, testing for pollutants, and adjusting treatment processes as needed.

Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and company standards.

Troubleshooting:

Identifying and resolving technical problems and optimizing plant performance.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of wastewater flow rates, quality parameters, and treatment outcomes.

Sampling:

Collecting and analyzing samples to monitor the efficiency of the treatment process.

Chemical Handling:

Preparing and managing chemical dosages for various treatment stages.

Safety Compliance:

Ensuring 100% compliance with safety systems and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Housekeeping:

Maintaining good housekeeping practices within the ETP.
