The ETP Operator is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to ensure that wastewater is treated in compliance with environmental regulations and company standards. The operator monitors processes, manages equipment, and maintains accurate records to support environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain all equipment related to the Effluent Treatment Plant, including pumps, aerators, filters, clarifiers, and chemical dosing systems.
Conduct routine inspections of the ETP system to ensure optimal performance and identify any malfunctions or breakdowns.
Monitor influent and effluent water quality parameters such as pH, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), and other relevant indicators.
Maintain accurate logs and records of plant operations, chemical usage, and maintenance activities.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on ETP equipment.
Coordinate with laboratory staff for sample collection and analysis.
Ensure compliance with environmental laws, standards, and company policies related to wastewater treatment and disposal.
Respond promptly to alarms and abnormal operating conditions to minimize downtime and environmental impact.
Assist in preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies as required.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
