Job Description

Candidate preferred (Diploma, ITI, or equivalent-chemical, mechanical)

Plant operations:

Operate pumps, blowers, mixers, filters, and other ETP equipment.

Process control:

Monitor and adjust treatment processes such as equalization, neutralization, aeration, and sludge handling.

Quality assurance:

Regularly check and record water quality parameters like pH, BOD, COD, and TDS. Adjust chemical dosages and other parameters to maintain efficiency and compliance.

Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on equipment to prevent issues and ensure proper function.

Record keeping:

Maintain accurate daily logs of plant operations, chemical usage, and water quality data.

Safety and compliance:

Ensure the ETP area is clean and safe, and that all operations comply with environmental standards and regulations.

Sludge management:

Ensure the timely removal of sludge from the treatment process.

Coordination:

Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and report on plant performance.
Required skills and qualifications

Technical knowledge:

Understanding of ETP processes and equipment.

Monitoring skills:

Ability to monitor and interpret water quality data.

Maintenance skills:

Proficiency in performing routine maintenance and cleaning.

Record keeping:

Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.

Safety awareness:

A strong commitment to safety protocols.

Education:

Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Specific certifications may be required depending on the location.

Experience:

Relevant experience in wastewater treatment or a similar field is often required.
