Deputy Content Editor

Role : Deputy Content Editor
- You will be executing high-quality stories for India's leading Wealth Tech platform.

- ET Money content team is on a mission to simplify finance and empower investors to take smart money decisions.

- The content team is the core growth engine for the company.

- The job involves staying abreast of the latest developments in the industry and creating crisp, concise and compelling content.

- The candidate should be able to adopt for different forms of writing - from long to brief and crisp social media posts and must be able to edit and re-write stories.

Location : Gurgaon, Haryana

Roles & Responsibilities :

1. The ideal candidate must have strong storytelling skills in addition to being comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams

2. You need to deliver stories for blogs, articles, social media, among other things

3. You will need to maintain an editorial calendar

4. You need to research content ideas and scenarios with focus on product marketing

5. You need to tell data driven stories and explain concepts in simplified easy to understand formats

6. You need to support social media team by providing posts as required from time to time

7. You need to work with product team to design, edit and review copies to ensure consistency of messaging across all channels

8. You should be able to edit and re-write copies to make them easy to understand

Required Skills :

1. You must have ability to read and analyze data and provide simple ideas for a compelling story

2. You should be able to play with headlines and have basic copywriting skills

3. You must be able to change writing style based on the needs of different platforms

4. You must have strong conversational and verbatim ability to bring engaging unique value proposition

5. You should have high learning agility to understand product portfolios and industry challenges

6. You should have ability to understand online behavior for influencing story telling

7. You must be ambitious and willing to work in an extremely passionate, high growth, result-oriented environment

8. You should have at least 3-5 years of experience of writing about Mutual Funds

Preferable skill set :

1. Familiarity with WordPress and other web publishing tools

2. Versatility of writing: experience in different forms of content writing like listicles, newsy articles, opinion pieces, data driven stories
