About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented

ETL Tester

with strong hands-on experience in

SQL, API testing, Linux

, and

SOAP UI

. The ideal candidate should be able to validate data across multiple systems, ensure data integrity, and work closely with the development and data engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

ETL testing

to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data transformations. Write and execute

complex SQL queries

for data validation and verification. Conduct

API testing

(SOAP and REST) using

SOAP UI / Postman

. Validate data movement between source, staging, and target systems. Work on

Linux/Unix environments

for test execution, log analysis, and job monitoring. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineers to identify and resolve defects. Prepare and maintain detailed

test cases, test plans, and test summary reports

. Participate in

root cause analysis

and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Required Skills

Strong experience in

SQL

(joins, subqueries, data validation, performance tuning). Hands-on experience with

ETL tools

(e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS - any one preferred). Proficiency in

SOAP UI / Postman

for API testing. Working knowledge of

Linux/Unix commands

and shell scripting. Good understanding of

data warehousing concepts

and ETL processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
