Position - Estimation Executive

Job location - Vashi, Navi mumbai

Role Overview

This role bridges

Purchase, Logistics, Production, and Sales

to ensure accurate costing, timely quotations, updated pricing, and close monitoring of production yields. The ideal candidate will come from a

commerce/accounting/costing background

and be strong with numbers, costing logic, and coordination.

Key Responsibilities1. Costing & Estimation

Prepare

raw material costing

,

batch costing

, and

finished goods costing

. Maintain standard costing sheets and update costs based on RM price changes. Analyze cost deviations and highlight yield or material variance. Validate actual vs theoretical yields in coordination with Production.

2. Quotation & Sales Support

Prepare and share accurate

quotations

with updated pricing, lead times, and commercial terms. Maintain and circulate

price lists

to the sales team. Track quotation status and support sales with timely responses. Handle special customer pricing requests with proper justification.

3. Purchase & Logistics Coordination

Work with the

Purchase team

for real-time raw material rates and availability. Coordinate with

Logistics

to calculate freight, export charges, and landed costs. Maintain an updated database of supplier prices and cost components.

4. Production Coordination & Loss Monitoring

Track

production losses

at each stage and report abnormal trends. Prepare weekly yield variance reports with reasons and observations. Support Production in maintaining standard yields and reducing wastage.

5. Data Management & Reporting

Maintain organized costing files, rate records, and quotation history. Prepare weekly MIS reports on costing, price movements, yield performance, and quotation turnaround. Support management in budget planning and forecasting for raw materials.

6. Process Improvement

Suggest cost-saving opportunities based on data trends. Assist in SOP development for costing, approvals, and pricing workflows.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong numerical and analytical ability.

Commerce / accounting / costing background preferred (B.Com / M.Com / BBA / MBA).

Good Excel/Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas). Understanding of basic supply chain: purchase ? production ? logistics ? sales. Detail-oriented with high accuracy levels. Strong coordination and follow-up skills.

Preferred Experience

4-6 years in costing, estimation, accounts commercial work, supply chain coordination, or production costing. Experience in food, botanicals, nutraceutical, FMCG, or manufacturing (added advantage). ERP knowledge preferred.
