We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Estimation/Proposal Engineer
to join our team. The role involves preparing cost estimates, technical proposals, and supporting sales and project teams with technical documentation. This position is ideal for candidates interested in industrial equipment, process engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Study customer enquiries, RFQs, drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
Prepare estimation sheets including BOM (Bill of Materials), material costing, fabrication costing, and labour estimation.
Coordinate with internal departments like design, purchase, and production to collect cost and technical information.
Prepare techno-commercial offers and proposals based on customer guidelines.
Support senior estimators in bid preparation and submission.
Assist in cost comparison, vendor evaluation, and pricing strategies.
Maintain database of costing, quotations, and project documents.
Participate in technical discussions with clients or sales team when required.
Ensure accuracy and timely submission of tenders/proposals.
Skills & Competencies Required:
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals (Mechanical/Chemical).
Good analytical and numerical skills.
Basic knowledge of fabrication, P&ID, process equipment, pressure vessels, or plant machinery (preferred but not mandatory).
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks (added advantage).
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to learn quickly and work under timelines.
